Anchored in the eternal truths of the Holy Bible — a statement of faith that has guided our congregation from the beginning.
At Church of God Saviour King, our faith is not built on human tradition or denominational preference. It is built on the solid rock of God's Word — the Holy Bible — which we receive as the inspired, authoritative, and fully sufficient revelation of God to humanity.
We are a Pentecostal Christian congregation. This means we believe in the full work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer: regeneration, sanctification, and the empowerment of the Spirit for witness and service. We hold these doctrines not as abstract theological positions, but as living realities that shape our daily walk with God.
The following statements represent the core convictions we share as a congregation. We invite you to read them, ask questions, and discover for yourself the life-transforming truth of the Gospel.
We believe that the entire Bible — Old and New Testaments — is the divinely inspired Word of God, without error in its original manuscripts, and the supreme authority for all matters of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, co-equal in nature, co-eternal in being, and co-operative in purpose (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully human through the virgin birth. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for our sins, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, and ascended to the right hand of the Father (John 1:1,14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by human effort or religious works, but is made available to all who repent of their sins and trust in Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10).
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit who convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers at salvation, and indwells every Christian. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct empowering experience for ministry, accompanied by the gifts of the Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12 and Acts 2 (Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:7–11).
We believe that water baptism by immersion is an outward declaration of an inward transformation — a public testimony of the believer's death to sin and resurrection to new life in Christ. It follows genuine repentance and faith (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3–4).
We celebrate the Lord's Supper (Communion) as a memorial of Christ's death and a proclamation of His return. The bread and the cup are symbolic representations of His broken body and shed blood, observed in remembrance of Him (1 Corinthians 11:23–26).
We believe that healing of the body, soul, and spirit is provided for in the atonement of Christ. We pray for the sick and trust God to heal according to His sovereign will, believing that nothing is impossible with Him (James 5:14–15; Isaiah 53:5).
We believe in the literal, personal, and visible return of Jesus Christ to the earth. This blessed hope is an anchor for the soul and a motivation for holy living and urgent mission (John 14:3; Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:20).
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead — the righteous to eternal life in the presence of God, and the unrighteous to eternal separation from God. This truth gives our mission urgency and our hope certainty (John 5:28–29; Revelation 20:11–15).
As a Pentecostal congregation, we place special emphasis on the ongoing, active work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer and the church. We do not see the gifts of the Spirit as reserved for a special era of history — we believe they are available and necessary for the church today.
At Church of God Saviour King, our worship is Spirit-led. Our prayers are expectant. Our services allow room for the movement of God in ways that cannot always be scheduled or predicted. We cultivate an atmosphere of reverence, openness, and holy anticipation — always eager to encounter the living God.
The fullness of the Spirit is not a plateau to be reached but a well to be drawn from every day. We encourage every believer to pursue a deep, continuous, and growing relationship with the Holy Spirit — in personal devotion, corporate worship, and faithful service.
